Omaha Storm Chasers Selling Out Fast!

OMAHA, Neb. - In 42-plus years of Triple-A baseball in Omaha, fans have never consistently supported a team like this. The Omaha Storm Chasers, just 19 home dates into the inaugural 2011 season at Werner Park, have hosted a record-13 games in a row with at least 4,000 fans in attendance.

That shatters the previous all-time high of 10-straight at Rosenblatt Stadium and is a full eight games longer than any single streak from 2001-2007.

In all, attendance is up 10.6 percent from a season ago, when the franchise eclipsed the 400,000 fan plateau for the first time in a decade and the ninth time since Omaha became home to the Kansas City Royals' Triple-A affiliate in 1969.

Werner Park has already seen nine games with 5,000 or more fans, whereas Rosenblatt had only had three games over the 5,000 mark through 19 home dates last year.

"Werner Park and the talented team on the field have been strong attractions," said Martie Cordaro, the Storm Chasers Vice President/General Manager. "With 52 games remaining, there are many different promotions for all to enjoy."
