There is a AP reports that shows that according to more people are going to games than are going to movies and "the arts". Now that shouldnt come as no surprise to the owners of these teams but it is something that is worth noting. Personally, I would rather see a dunk or touchdown rather than "The Nutcracker" but it should tell Account Executive that the entertainment dollar does have some worthy competition when tying to convince a prospect about buying some season tickets.
Many times AEs have to consider that during these times of high gas prices and high unemployment, people are really making a conscience decision on how they want to experience that dollar. Nutcracker or Football? Opera or Lebron? Hmmm tough decision.
Remember, sell the experience and not the team! People make ticket decision based on how they will feel and the experience they will share!
