Detroit Lions The Hottest Ticket In Town?

Funny thing happens when you win four in a row to close out another losing season and then have what experts have described as a B+ draft with "steals" and "value" picks.  The Detroit Lions are experiencing an increase in renewals and season ticket sales and also saw an increase in tv ratings.  Of course they are not in Dallas Cowboys country and they will need to win a few more games before anyone starts paying scalpers for tickets but these are very positive signs for a franchise that has been best buddies blackouts and low attendance.

What is interesting about the Lions is the fact that they were able to sellout 7 of their 8 home games and how they also lowered ticket prices of about 20 thousand seats.  With revenue sharing NFL owners dont lose but Detroit was one of those franchises whose finacial statements were seeing red.  I sure hope this is a turnaround for a franchise and city in desparate need of some good news.
