D-League Utah Flash Season Done! Resumes Being Sent Out!

Its a sad day for the Utah Flash and the entire organization.  No one wants to see someone lose thier job and I really feel for all my fellow sales reps who are now updating thier resume.  The Flash announced that they will be closing the doors for the upcoming season of 2011-2012 and they are actively seeking new ownership.  Now the team asking price is only $2.5 million (easy for a broke man like me to say right) and the new owner probably would do better than to keep the team in Utah!

It was a three-year experiment that has apparently failed.

The Utah Flash gave it their best shot, but are closing the doors. The team is up for sale and the 2011-12 season has been suspended.

A former Flash employee, who asked to not be identified, said the entire staff has been laid off, and that any season tickets sold for the upcoming season will be refunded.

After attempting to reach NBA Development League Commissioner Dan Reed by phone, the Daily Herald received an e-mail statement on Friday night from Reed. "The NBA Development League's Utah Flash will go on hiatus for the 2011-12 season. We thank Brandt Andersen, the organization, and the Utah Flash fans or all of their support of the team over the past four years, and are actively working with the team to find new ownership."
