Atlanta Thrashers Found A Buyer?

The money losing Trashers have finally found someone to share in the cash bleeding of the NHL Atlanta Thrashers.  Of course this team was apart of the ugly lawsuit between the owners Altanta Spirit and they may have someone to take this load off their hand.  Forbes magazine is reporting that for $110 million that a group led by retired Braves pitcher Tom Glavine will be buying the team and keeping them in Atlanta.

My first question is will they keep the sales staff or will they finally separate them.  The Atlanta Spirit had been using their sales staff to sell for both teams but maybe they will finally see them as two different franchise with two different business models.  Also, this idea of hockey succeeding in Atlanta has me thinking of how football can survive in China.  It simply doesnt make sense!

I love the city but this team has only made the playoffs once in about 11 years and they ranked among the bottem in attendance like their big brother the Hawks.  I hope Glavine and his group can do a better job of selling tickets than the "other guys" because we may be talking about them moving to another city pretty soon.
